Aerospace- PCB manufacturing standard

Aerospace PCB should withstand up to 2,000 cycles from -40°C to 145°C (normal boards can withstand 120°C) to 300 cycles) and retain up to 30 cycles at 570°F (three times the test requirements for the new lead-free T288).

Aerospace: PCB has more micro parts than conventional circuit boards. Therefore, following certain standards based on what customers want from high-end applications is important.

In addition, these standards must be followed in the final process, including quality analysis, testing, reporting, and micro section analysis. Because of the task-critical nature associated with these applications, these processes are rigorously followed.

High reliability aerospace pcb

High-reliability PCBS are preferred for aviation and aerospace applications, including satellites, aircraft carriers, and space shuttles.
During design and manufacturing, Anpllopcb will improve PCB reliability with a life expectancy of more than 10-15 years, withstand harsh environmental conditions and operate trouble-free.

Design Considerations

These devices must be built with zero defects and function error-free over their lifetime, often under severe environmental conditions, including high moisture and heat or freezing cold.
Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Pulses (EMP) cannot affect military and aerospace assemblies or Military & Aerospace PCB Assembly.

Aerospace Assembly

Beyond normal design considerations for electronic device assembly, aerospace assemblies require the following:

  • Mounting heat-producing components with more clearance space to protect the circuit board and other components from heat.
  • Applying thermal compound where it is needed to help dissipate heat.
  • Pre-tinning the stranded and braided wire for better solderability.
  • Soldering press-fit components to decrease vibration issues.
  • Double-check heat settings (thermal profiles) of the reflow and wave soldering processes so that the components are not damaged by heat during assembly.
  • Applying high-quality acrylic-base sprays to coat the PCBs with conformal coating to protect the finished product.
  • Inspecting 100% of the PCBs and assemblies as they are completed to ensure quality.
